She is known for her role as Marina Cooper on Guiding Light, and Marcy Brender in Dawson's Creek. The actress was featured in two episodes on Showtime's Weeds together with Mary Louise Parker. Her most well-known role was her role as Judy Kramer on Fox's 2005 Point Pleasant series and Marcy in Dawson's Creek. Three years in the role of Marina Cooper, in Guiding Light's soap opera earned nominations for Soap Opera Digest Awards 2003 for the category Outstanding Newcomer. Between 2007 and 2008 Dollar was a character on Cindy Thomas on the ABC TV series Women's Murder Club. Dollar was a part of the 2012 NBC series pilot Happy Valley which was not taken up.
