Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills in 1956. She was the home of her mother and was also a mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. McCormick has always loved performing, dancing and creating puppet shows. She won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was contacted through Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the business of show production. McCormick found her first role as a major actress in the year 1964. McCormick was in an ad campaign for Mattels the newest doll baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964, for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the lead role in the play Wind It up and It breaks, a production in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 200 auditioned kids, played the third of three head-to-head daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The five-year run of the show was a success. McCormick said in her 2008 memoir Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having lost her virginity during the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and brother on screen. At the time, she was just 16 years old and he was 19. We would've had a romance, she said. But the timing wasn't just right.
